Cape Coral Elite Flooring installs floors in Cape Coral homes, and only floors. Luxury vinyl plank, porcelain and wood-look tile, engineered hardwood, laminate and stone, together with the tear-out, leveling and moisture work that decides whether any of them last.
We are not a big-box store with a crew list at the back. The people who measure your house are the people who answer for the floor, and the company is built around one idea: in this city, flooring is won or lost underneath.

Why a flooring company, and why the Cape
Cape Coral is one of the largest cities in Florida by land area, planned in the late 1950s on a grid of canals that now runs to more than 400 miles. Almost every house sits on a concrete slab, many of them close to the water table, and a large share were tiled throughout when they were new. That makes the city a very particular flooring market. The question is rarely just “which floor?” It is “what is under the old one, and what will this slab accept?”
A company that works across five trades treats that as a detail. We treat it as the job.
What we see under Cape Coral floors
Lift tile in an older Southeast Cape home and you usually find thick thinset, sometimes a full mortar bed, and a slab with a few hairline cracks and a slope toward the sliders. Newer homes in the Northwest Cape tend to have flatter slabs but carry more construction moisture in the first years. Canal-front houses see more humidity, and seasonal homes closed up all summer see the biggest swings of all. None of this is unusual, and all of it changes how a floor should be put down.
The test before the quote
That is why the free estimate includes a look at the slab, not just a tape measure. Where the floor you want is glued down or made of wood, we read the moisture in the concrete and compare it with the limit in that product’s installation guide. We check flatness with a straightedge. Then the quote says what we found, what the floor needs and what each part costs. You see the prep as its own line rather than discovering it on day two as a change order.
Who does the work
Our own installers do the tear-out, the prep and the install, so the person grinding thinset on Monday knows the person laying plank on Wednesday needs it flat. One crew lead is on your job from the first box to the last transition strip, and you have one number to call. When a job needs another trade, such as a plumber to reset a toilet or a drying company after a leak, we tell you up front and work around them.
How we treat a house we’re working in
- Doorways sealed with plastic and vents covered before any tile is broken.
- Dust-contained grinding with HEPA vacuums when you ask for it.
- Floors we are not replacing are covered, and furniture is moved with care or left where you ask.
- Debris goes out the same day it comes up, not piled on the driveway for the week.
- A walkthrough at the end, with leftover boxes labeled for future repairs.
Things we won’t do
We won’t lay a floor over a slab that reads wet for that product and hope for the best. We won’t quote a whole house over the phone, because the number would be a guess. We won’t sell you solid hardwood for a slab, or laminate for a full bathroom, just because it is what you came in asking for. We won’t claim a license Florida doesn’t issue: the state does not license flooring installers, so the honest proof of our work is the written scope, the readings and the finished floor. And we won’t tell you a floor replacement needs no permit without checking your address with the city.
Who we work for
Most of our customers are Cape Coral homeowners: families redoing a 1990s tile floor, retirees making a house easier to live in, and seasonal owners who want the work done while they are away. We also work for landlords who need a durable floor turned around between tenants, condo owners who need their association’s sound rating met, and homeowners putting a house back together after water damage. Outside the Cape we cover Fort Myers, North Fort Myers, Pine Island, Estero and Bonita Springs.
A family business since 1996
The company behind Cape Coral Elite Flooring is a family operation that has been installing floors across Southwest Florida since 1996. Over those years the crew has put down more than two million square feet of tile, plank and wood in homes and businesses in Lee, Charlotte and Collier counties.
The owner is on site for every job. That gives you one person who knows your floor from the first measure to the final walkthrough and who answers your questions directly instead of passing them along. Layout is part of that: where the first row starts, which way the planks run and how a tile pattern meets a doorway are planned for your rooms, not left to whoever happens to be holding the trowel.
Free on-site estimates can often be booked the same day, and military members and first responders get a discount on their floor.
